However, without means to integrate all this diversity into a systemic understanding, we may end up with a confusing cacophony of opinions that only gives a fragmented picture of what may be a very complex situation. And might increase disagreement.
That’s why we combine diversity with unity of purpose through our systems– guided deliberative frameworks.
We believe that what matters most is not having the ‘best experts’ around the table but having the ‘right blend of expertise’, working with the right frameworks and at the right time.
A wiser approach to creating knowledge
Through a variety of systems thinking tools and Socratic-style deliberation, we empower people to ‘think together’ and ‘think differently’. Our process is structured yet flexible and always based on genuine dialogue and diverse, inclusive participation.
Creating and mobilising knowledge in this way can help at different stages of the decision- making process, from defining the problem and its boundaries, developing a vision and strategy, imagining the future, to finding consensus and identifying options for action.
We come from academia. Our approach draws on rigorous social science research and philosophical thinking. Yet our methods are experimental and always evolving.
